Social Project

This video was done for Apple’s Instagram as part of a social effort to document interesting stories of people and places. This one took place in the water dreamland of photographer Christy Lee Rogers. We explored her ethos and got to see how her thoughts translate into color, light, and form. She shares her story and why this kind of set is meaningful to her. She also worked closely with a costume designer to playfully juxtapose the varying degrees of material for texture and movement. If you look close enough, the work begins to appear as if it were impressionist oil paintings but- as always, everything was shot on an iPhone.
